Last post on blogger I'm moving everything over to wordpress. It has a nicer layout and more options and a better help section. It will take a bit to move everything over.

Dirty Landuary, Ring around the Collar edtion
It's cold wet damnp and overall misserable Yuck.
Well the Wife is off to Munich for two weeks, I'm joining her for the weekend, saves her having to fly out Sunday afternoon (she's on course the following week) and I get to join her for a weekend.
Last night I drove her downtown Madrid for a team dinner and decided it wasn't worth sticking around for so I had a few (too many) Belgium beers at the bar next door, along with Fish and Chips at the local English Pub and then off to Ben and Jerry’s for not one but two desserts. Good god no wonder my stomach wasn’t feel so hot.
Then it was up at 5.30 to get her to the Airport for an early flight back for a snooze and then clean the house up (which I was going to do last night)
Feeling Fat, well I'm running out of excuses about gaining weight, Christmas and 3 kings is too far behind us so today I climbed on the Ellipsis machine and did 20 mins. Time to start thinking about losing some weight.

Update Update Update
First off thankyou to The Diary of a Reformed Spendaholic for her kind words. And if you noticed I was able to hid the link behind text making it much cleaner. I left a comment on her blog but I'm not sure it went through as her blog is only showing the January 11th post and I know she's made several since then. As well when I click on "email" the page never loads. Perhaps a reboot will do the trick. I tend to leave the computer on for days on end).
(will add photo latter got to run)
Anyways I haven't decided if I will continue on with this blog or move everything over to a wordpress. Or I may keep two slighly different blogs. More on that in my next post.
My next post will be "why do we feel shame about being in debt" It was a comment my Wife made when I mentioned about letting the family know about our blog
More on that latter.

Moving to Word Press

Hi Everyone
I decided to move over to wordpress. I checked out livelink but was too much like facebook. What sold me on wordpress was the FAQs. Blogger reminds me of the old VCR joke about the flashing date that no one can figure out how to change. You need to be a techie to do anything. On the other hand Word Press FAQs are written by and for joe blows like me. For the time being I'll continue to post to both, doesn't hurt just a little copy and paste.
It'll take me a few days to get all my posts moved over, but it's much easier to add photos etc. EDIT just noticed the add photo button above DUH!
the new link is
http://robandchrismadrid.wordpress.com
does anyone know how to hid a link behind a sentance?????
EDIT
figured it out at least in word press, trick is type some text cdferffg and then highlight it and insert link. Doesn't work unless the text is highligted. Found the answer in in the wordpress fourm, well the hell can't blogger do that!!!
does anyone know how to hid a link behind a sentance in blogger????
EDIT found it
Link in your comment on blogger
too much work to figure out, good bye blogger hello wordpress
Do I or Don't I
continue with this blog:
Problem is two fold. One I'm ADHD so I tend to lose interest in things after a while. Not a problem I only post when I feel like it.
A more important reason is my computer and the internet seem to hate me. When it comes to all things computer I'm a total ludite (OK not quite as bad as my Mother "don't change anything" Mother in law but enough that I'm not sure I want to continue. My first blog journey to frgualdom (with one M ) simply won't allow me to log in anymore so it sits there forlornly.
But more importantly I can't seem to get it to do what I want. I can't add in proper looking links or upload photos. Blooger is supposed to be for people like me but with no option to add photos what good is it. I don't know or have any interest in HTML links But most importantly it just doesn't look very good. I may or may continue.
The best example of a good blog is Marks, a fellow expat I met in Germany

Debt Reduction Update
Well...
things are moving much quicker than I thought. We decided over Christmas to as for an advance on Wifey's double pay (her salary is divided by 15 rather than 12 so 3 times a year she gets a double pay) and it turns out that they do a straight bank transfer rather than adding it to her pay cheque. That means we got the money a few days ago and along with savings from our weekly (shopping gas spending) means I was able to send a whopping 2400€ to Germany. That will pay off one bank loan with another 1400 going to our CitiBank CC. That means at the end of the month the balance will be a bit over a 1000€. Bit of hard savings should see that paid off in no time flat.
